SufferingWhy do we feel pain?
We who are so easily able to make others laugh and smile with a simple image or words on paper? Why do we hurt when we crave an outlet for expression and to share the creations we made? Is it because for every good thing we do there is a negative?
Why is life so cold sometimes?
It allows us to meet those most precious to us. Our family, friends, heroes, and lovers are all there because we live, and yet as we live we suffer. We seem punished for our joy, and it is not right.
Why do we seek to end it all?
Has the weight of our cross become too much to bear? Will we rather allow ourselves to give up our most precious gift because it is less than we want? Is there no winning for us? Will we merely end ourselves, and the happiness we give others?
I will not lie. Existence is not easy, but it is not sheer suffering.
So long as we are we inspire.

Her CatalystAs she walks through the maelstrom, the words trace upon the tips of her fingers and press into the stone. Every brick, every crack in the concrete, every crossed and angular stroke in reds and blacks and oranges. The drips of the gasoline pool around the base of her boots, slosh as she steps over the burst pipes and the rubble.
So much rubble. So little outcry. The silence of the city grates on her eardrums and the mantras she'd been forced to memorize. The Seers demanded they observe thirteen years of recitation before they attempt to weave their first World together.
But who other than the Seers can claim the incantations that knot the skeins they twist and pull on like reins hold fast? When have any of the Sisters recorded the visions they traced upon space-time and recited them, left them open for critique and discussion and debate?
